"Meet, learn, celebrate."

The Building's History

The St John Ambulance premises had always been available for local use at evenings and weekends. But when the building closed in early 2021 as a result of the pandemic, Harpur Hill Residents Association and the Friends of Harpur Hill were left with nowhere to meet. With the building seen as surplus to requirements, the first aid charity put it on the market. Listed in a property auction, it was spotted and acquired by a local buyer.

With the premises in safe hands, a community steering group was formed to plan its future use. Hundreds of leaflets were sent out to local residents and a public meeting was held.

"This is just what the community needs..."

Volunteer sessions have been taking place to repaint and tidy the building and grounds before it relaunched as Harpur Hill Village Hall in September 2023.

We have received donations from various businesses and people providing the hall with some of the basics to get the Hall ready for the community to use.
